‘Can I cuddle the moon in the sky? Give it a go but I think it's too high.'
Little Owl wants to cuddle someone - or something. He looks around him and sees many wonderful things that he would love to embrace but somehow they're always too far away, too shy, too hot, too fragile.
Surely there must be someone he can cuddle? The answer is probably right under his nose.
Softly toned mixed media illustrations capture a youngster's constant curiosity and boundless interest in the world around them, as well as their need for love... and hugs. Brown's rhyming text flows naturally and the question and answer format is ideal for shared reading with beginning readers. Stewart's illustrations enrich the story immeasurably, full of colour and texture that will have young fingers reaching for the page. A delightful read.
