Mrs Roo can't find her joey so she hops around the bush asking the other birds and animals to help her find him.

As part of the search each creature checks on their own babies, showing the reader the different habitats and homes of Australian fauna. Although the digitally created illustrations lack the warmth of more traditional styles, children will love folding the flaps up and down to reveal the animal babies in safe in their nests/burrows/holes. And it is, of course, Mrs Kookaburra, with her great cackling laugh who finally shows Mrs Roo that joey is just where he's supposed to be – in the pouch!
