The NSW Association for Gifted and Talented Children Inc., is seeking for an executive officer to manage the administration of our member processes, and lead our part time staff to facilitate our member services.

Essential Skills:
Ability to work independently, and as part of a team. Experience working from home.
Ability to work within a set time frame
Advanced verbal and communication skills
- Ability to manage and review processes and policies and to ensure requirements are met
- Ability to work as part of a management committee structure
- Ability to supervise and lead a team
- Website content management and experience
- Current child protection approval
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including data base programs and management.
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to communicate at a number of levels, including reporting to committee and supporting parents
- Ability to prepare meeting materials and documents
- Ability to initiate contacts with a wide range of people for the purposes of arranging and running events
- Ability to attend meetings when needed.
- First Aid certification
- Knowledge of OH&S processes.
The Role includes:
- Supporting the Association as a key point of contact for members, committee and stakeholders within the community
- Liaising with staff and support group organisers, both local and distant
- Ensuring currency of equipment and technology
- Establishing a calendar of processes and records; including the mailouts of Gifted, monthly enewsletter, website postings and member messages and inquiries
- Promoting the association
- Managing finances with finance officer support and staff rosters and workplans
- Contributing to the planning and implementing the Association program of events in alignment with the management committee
- Contracting support group members who run local events

Gifted News
This information section contains news items relevant to gifted children, and their parents, care-givers and educators, particularly in NSW and Australia. The news items can be submitted by NSWAGTC committee members, office staff, support groups and members, and also by other site/community members and visitors. There is a Site FAQ that explains how to submit content. While submitted news items are reviewed prior to publishing, the contributor is responsible for ensuring that the item is accurate and appropriate to the site.
