Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Welcome to this constantly evolving part of our site! Simply select the FAQ submenu item above that best matches your question.

Here we try to help you achieve your goals - whether they relate directly to gifted children, or to using this site - by providing clear straight-forward answers to the questions we are asked frequently.

Of course this is also an efficient way for us to meet your needs - a very important factor for us given we are a member financed, volunteer run organization.

So it is a challenge creating valuable but standard answers to frequent questions while fully understanding that no-one's particular situation is exactly the same.

After consulting our existing FAQs you might want:

  • More information - Have a look at the Information section of our site. This contains most of the information articles we have online, with many in the members only For Parents and For Teachers categories.
  • To ask a follow-up question - Have a look at the member only Forum section of our site. This is the ideal place to ask particular questions (including anonymously if you choose an anonymous username when you register). In addition the forums are restricted to members which makes them semi-private.
  • To suggest a new FAQ or an addition to an existing one - Use this Contact Form to let us know and to include your suggested content.

We hope you found this evolving set of FAQs useful. We would be delighted if you chose to become actively involved in the Association and/or this website. You can find out much more about us, including how to become a member, in the myNSWAGTC section of the site.

Did you know?

Gifted children vary a lot. Some are great at sports. Some have disabilities. Children can be gifted or not along one or more of a large number of dimensions. Labels like "gifted" need to be used carefully as all children are different.
